new projects currently being designed in the studio for the new year include: a pavilion extension to a house in palm beach (sydney), high tech gym in melbourne and a real estate commercial interior in double bay.

great percy street

we have recently completed this 4th floor refurbishment on percy street in islington, london.  the small yet bright interior utilises the use of its southerly aspect through a new roof terrace and large custom skylights. check back soon for more interior projects.

veiled house

the veiled house in surry hills is in the final weeks of construction certificate. the project proposes an entire redevelopment of a two storey terrace, adding an additional level + ground floor rear extension. an 8 metre high x 3 metre wide black anodised laser cut screen is proposed to veil the entire infill section (entry) of the house. we have been developing a number of parametric VB scripts in grasshopper that: 1. pack shapes, 2.blooms lace (using recursion) and 3. varies material thickness to gradate opacity of the screen. construction of the project is expected to commence early january.

under construction

the slide house has started with demolition and excavation on site. the large new build dwelling features a laser cut screen of varying apertures and a floor to ceiling internal edge truss. click the shot above for further images.

our r&d team have been busy the last week investigating field theory + curvilinear surfaces (using grasshopper and t-splines) to develop a contoured topological interior for a commercial fitout in melbourne.

the sydney office is currently working on a number of new build projects including a large 5 bedroom dwelling in nsw, a laneway design in sydney CBD and a pre-fab research pavilion to be build in late june.

the office of urban future stockholm has been launched this week by daniel fagerberg and max zinnecker. new projects include a ski resort scheme in borgafjäll and an assembly of prefab housing prototypes.
