a series of new prototype houses are to be built in the suburb gwangjin-gu, seoul, south korea. the projects have been developed in association with the korean office, landscape architect dr woong-sung oh and master planning & environmental architect prof. sung-jin noh. a publication on the development is due out later this month.

ufo (au) has been commissioned to sketch design a range of furniture for an italian manufacturer. the concept for the elements are based on complexity and limit of rapid prototyping technology and incorporate alucobond sheeting as the main material.

ufo (au) are developing a glazed slice design for a inner sydney suburb terrace. the concept is to open the terrace through its midpoint, creating a light well and external area between the old and new sections of the house.

interactive geometry generation

we have been developing a live interactive geometry generator to screen at the 2007 IDEA awards night. the project implements a set of IR sensors that feed real-time data into an animation software through actionscripting. based on the location, density and packing of people, the projection will feed fractal geometry to play off the natural sandstone escarpment patterns of cockatoo island.
