urban future in collaboration with dr.sarah benton + bodega black have been shortlisted for the laneways by george competition. the scheme proposes a draped component pavilion situated within abercrombie lane, sydney CBD. click the image for further details on the design.

the sydney office is currently working on a number of new build projects including a large 5 bedroom dwelling in nsw, a laneway design in sydney CBD and a pre-fab research pavilion to be build in late june.

the office of urban future stockholm has been launched this week by daniel fagerberg and max zinnecker. new projects include a ski resort scheme in borgafjäll and an assembly of prefab housing prototypes.

urban future have been implementing iterative rhinoscript methods to 'breed' tower proposals for the * (kr) city project. the breeding characteristics of the towers are based on volume, area, shadow, rotation and view criteria. selecting a new generation of paired towers produce a matrix of 'offspring with controlled ranges of features with the recursive function of the script allowing for indefinate selection and generation. this same scripted methodology will be further implemented to develop surface articulation and patterning.
