parametric towers
urban future have been implementing iterative rhinoscript methods to 'breed' tower proposals for the * (kr) city project. the breeding characteristics of the towers are based on volume, area, shadow, rotation and view criteria. selecting a new generation of paired towers produce a matrix of 'offspring with controlled ranges of features with the recursive function of the script allowing for indefinate selection and generation. this same scripted methodology will be further implemented to develop surface articulation and patterning.

urban future(au) are consulting on parametric design and scripting in dubai this december. dirk anderson will also be collaborating on the design of a south korean concept city in london with the international ufo team.

helsinki conference
dirk anderson is presenting a paper in helsinki, finland for the IASBE on intelligent building in bridge design. the paper has been developed in association with the intelligent building research group at UTS and will focus on descriptive geometry and interoperation within the design industry.

south korea prototype housing
 a series of new prototype houses are to be built in the suburb gwangjin-gu, seoul, south korea. the projects have been developed in association with the korean office, landscape architect dr woong-sung oh and master planning & environmental architect prof. sung-jin noh. a publication on the development is due out later this month.
