the castelmola project was developed as an agro-tourism resort where travellers and tourists alike would become part of the towns sustainable economical plan, cultivating local produce and engaging with the cultural traditions and culinary practices. challenging and engaging the notion of extreme terrain, the project topology interleaved itself by shifting volumes within, through and above the landscape surface.
the basis of the masterplanning was to create a number of moduled program that could be added sequentially with the success of the project, initially only requiring a limited amount of program to kick start the development and enlarging itself to deal with more sophisticated operation as and when required.
