and so begins our top five series.  this series show some of our current favourite flash/ processing interactive animations.  some are just fun where as others are visually complex and highly seductive.

the recent work of marius watz, one of four artists picked for the bright nights digital artwork program celebrating the 100th anniversary of the manhattan bridge, investigates through a selection of stills and animations the shapes, forms and negative spaces that the structure evokes.  watz uses code to explore virtual spaces defined by rule-based systems which are outputted in a variety of printed and digital methods.  see more of his dynamic work on his flickr page.
