adaptive circle packing

rhino 4.0 / grasshopper 0.60057

as discussed before on the lace bloom veil house in surry hills, we had implemented a circle packing script originally developed by steven janssen.

We’ve altered the code to constrain to any closed curve geometry and have also adapted the circle radii based on distance logic to attractor points + included a random influence which shakes up the radii  increment.

we’ve since found jarek bilda’s image based circle packing to be a pretty nice script to detail complex articulation (you will need to download the rhPlugin from mcneel to work explore with this – or… rewrite and use GH’s built-in image sampler).

download the rhino and grasshopper package here.
