base jump
with the recent completion of the burj khalifa, the world’s tallest building located in dubai, what better way to celebrate than building a large temporary platform at the summit and throwing yourself off. nasr al niyadi and omar al hegelan have set a world record for the highest base jump from a building. the project also boasts other achievements such as the largest fountain, the highest occupied floor and the highest swimming pool located on the 76 floor. there are also talks of a mosque being built on the zenith floor, 158, which would make it the highest place of worship. how very dubai! check out the video for the mighty fall.
