during the code to production workshop that we recently ran at the university of sydney (australia), students were led through a number of advanced geometry generating typologies such as networks, auto-organization and recursion. within our design practice of urban future, we would generally develop recursive structural algorithms within grasshopper3d VB components.
a quick exploration and testing of the hoopsnake plugin developed by volatile prototypes allowed our students to intuitively create their own (advanced) recursive geometries within the simplest of grasshopper component streams.
